Stuffy Nose

Chronic nasal stuffiness can be caused by a number of nasal problems

• Deviated nasal septum
• Congested nasal membranes
• Nasal polyps
• Enlarged turbinates
• Weakness of the nasal sidewalls
• Nasal tumors (uncommon)

The cause of your chronic nasal blockage can only be determined by a complete examination of the nose, sinus outflow channels, and nasopharynx (back of nose). Based on the examination, allergy testing and/or sinus CT scan may be necessary to make a specific diagnosis and plan targeted therapy.
