The office is open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm for scheduling, pre-certification, billing, and insurance questions.
Dr. Nass sees patients on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday by appointment. To schedule one at your convenience, please call the office at (212) 734-4515.
If you have a hearing loss, noise in the ears, or a balance problem an audiogram will be necessary in order for Dr. Nass to make a full assessment of your condition. When you make your appointment, please let us know you have these symptoms so that we can coordinate your appointments.
Our audiologist sees patients on Wednesdays from 8AM to 12Noon.
Medical history forms
You can download our patient information and medical history forms, complete them, and bring them with you. If you want to fill them out at the time of your visit, please arrive 10 minutes earlier than your appointment time.
Dr. Nass is currently in network ONLY in the following plans:
- Medicare Part B
- Empire Blue Cross/Blue Shield (PPO, HMO/ANTHEM)
- United Healthcare
- United Healthcare Medicare Advantage
- The Empire Plan
- Oxford Freedom Plan
Please have your insurance card ready when you make your appointment so we can confirm your coverage. If your plan requires a referral from your primary-care physician (PCP), please make sure the necessary approvals and/or forms have been sent to our office before your visit. We won’t be able to bill your insurance carrier without them.
Out of Network Patients
We’ll be happy to see you regardless of your insurance plan, but please be prepared to pay in full at the time of your visit. If you have out of network insurance coverage we’ll provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance carrier on your own.
We accept Visa®, MasterCard®, American Express®, checks, and cash. Patients are responsible for all insurance co-payments at the time of the visit and will receive a bill for any co-insurance and/or deductibles as determined by their respective insurance carrier.
Cancellations and rescheduling
Remember, we’ve reserved your appointment time especially for you, so if you’re running late, please give us a call so we try to adjust the schedule and accommodate you. If you need to re-schedule or cancel an appointment, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer the time to another patient.
Our office manager, Stephanie Moore-Saldiran is New York State certified in three areas – Clinical Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy Technician, and EKG Technician. She has a broad background as a medical assistant, in health-care office and records management, and medical scheduling. Prior to working with Dr. Nass, she worked at a number of other medical practices in the New York area.
Dr. Rhea Varadi
Dr. Rhea Varadi earned her Master of Science in Audiology from Columbia University Teachers College and Doctor of Audiology degree from Salus University. She is licensed in Audiology by the New York State Department of Education. She is also a New York State licensed hearing-aid dispenser.
Prior to working with Dr. Nass, Dr. Varadi was employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Manhattan, Mount Sinai Faculty Practice ENT, and a private neurotology practice. She taught Master’s and Doctoral level students at Hunter College and the CUNY Graduate Center as an adjunct lecturer.
