Richard Nass M.D., F.A.C.S.

Richard Nass MD FACS

I’m Dr. Richard Nass, a specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of sinus disease, acute and chronic sinus infections, nasal abnormalities, sleep apnea, nasal breathing problems, poor sleep quality, snoring, facial pain, and all problems of the ears, nose, and throat. I am also a sinus and nasal surgeon, so I can offer any medical or surgical treatment options for your specific situation.

One of my related areas of expertise is inhalant (respiratory) allergies, as they often coexist in a variety of sinus, ear, nose, and throat problems. In my medical practice, I combine the diagnosis and management of inhalant allergies where appropriate.

My professional approach is simple:  I combine individualized patient care with the latest technology to treat your health problems.

If you suffer from any type of sinus, breathing, nose, ear, or throat problems, my state-of-the-art ENT practice can help.

As Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, I teach ENT residents at the New York University School of Medicine. I was among the first U.S. doctors to pursue endoscopic sinus diagnosis, treatment, and surgery and studied with its innovators at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Graz, Austria. I have co-directed continuing education courses in the principles and techniques of endoscopic sinus surgery, and organized and co-directed international symposia on sinus disease, and written articles for medical journals.

In addition to my position as Clinical Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the NYU School of Medicine, I’m an attending physician at the NYU Langone Medical Center, Lenox Hill Hospital/Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital, Bellevue Hospital Center, the Manhattan VA Hospital, and an Honorary Surgeon of the New York City Police Department.

I am a graduate of the NYU School of Medicine and I completed both an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology at the Bellevue Hospital Center - NYU School of Medicine.
